A little slow on the service but food is very good

Authentic Mexican food at it's best! Margs are tasty and keep you coming back. You'll want to make this one of your stops through town. Homemade fresh salsa is top notch as well. Ice cream bar for the kids too.

The food is absolutely fantastic! If you're looking for authentic Mexican cuisine this is the place! The staff is extremely friendly. Fernando actually does the cooking and serves it to you himself. His wife is also very much involved. They are both very personable. We will definitely be returning!

It a cool place

It's a combination Mexican restaurant and ice cream shop. We waited 20 minutes because no one was there, sign on door. Tables were all dirty and unbussed. There was only one person doing all the work. She was waiting tables for those who stayed. Cooking, serving and scooping icecrem, and eventually bussing tables. She was quite friendly and in a good mood all things considered. We ordered chips covered with melted cheese. They don't give you chips like most Mexican places. The lunch special was good but small portion and no rice unless you pay extra. Not handicap accessible.

It want Mexican food in Grand Rapids, Ohio. It is the place to go. It was a little pricey.

I was walking by and this place stood out, it looked like a bright colored Ice Cream Parlor. The staff are so friendly here. Ice cream, beer and Mexican food all in one place. I only tried the ice cream and it was very delicious.

Disappointing. We had ordered 4 chicken taco meals and one beef taco meal. Two meals came out first with no silverware. We had to track down a server which took about 15 minutes. Three other meals arrived about 20 minutes after first two meals were served. Chicken on tacos was boiled and bland. Beef tacos were bland as well. We usually have members of our party that have leftovers that we box and take home, not this time. We should have went to Cocina de Carlos instead.

Used to be an old ice cream store since turned into a Mexican place. Weird mildew smell. Noisy fan. Went there for ice cream...not many flavor choices. Won't be going back.

Good food. Fair priced.. owners not friendly. If you order unlimited tacos on the menu You can't sit on the patio,but does not tell You that so is xtremely upsetting when you want to order off menu but the menu is limited on the patio only by unlimited tacos.. taco salad reminds me of a school lunch side. Other than that is good

Pleasant staff, but food was pricey for what we got. My tostadas were so salty I could not eat what ordered. I raked beef off hoping that would help the tadte, it did not. I won't be going back.

Stopped in for breakfast with a group of people. They were ill-prepared for breakfast and it took them 45 minutes to make food off of their very limited breakfast menu. Some of the food that came out was not veryedible. The waitress actually stated that she knew they were having trouble with some of the food not being of good quality and offered to replace it. We declined as we thought if they knew there was an issue with the food they should not have served it.

I took my Daughter and Grandson there Sunday. The sign said OPEN, several people were at the bar and a few at tables. We took a table and after being ignored for 15 minutes my daughter ask the bartender for service. She was told they were closed. They had just let us sit there, not being intelligent or customer friendly enough to even address the unfortunate incident. Evidently we had walked in at closing and they thought it better to ignore us until we left. I'll never eat there.

Great margaritas. Food was bland. Nice atmosphere with courtyard out back. The floor is not level, so don't think you're off balance. Staff was friendly and fast. We will give it another visit to try other items on the menu.

Absolutely love this restaurant! Delicious authentic Mexican cuisine. Wonderful Margarita's. My family of 5 never leave hungry.

Always a great place to stop and grab a bite to eat! Never a disappointment!!

If you want to go to taco bell knock yourself out. If you want to get full and drink a beer or two get the all you can eat tacos. Love taco bell but these tacos are so so so much better. Not in the same class as the bell. I only wish I could get this all the time.

Fernanslow's is understaffed. The food and drinks are good but we avoid it due to the wait for a refill or service.

Best Mexican food in Grand Rapids.

Good service, great food. Fernando's burger is the best burger I've had in a while. Fresh burger patties, crispy toasted bun, and jalapenos were the perfect amount of spiciness.

Margaritas are terrific...Good food...good service. Really interesting restaurant with lots of interesting regular customers to chat with.

One of my new favorite places! The tacos are delicious (authentic). Great margaritas especially the coconut & mango! This is a small locally owned restaurant. It's casual, laid back, mostly locals who are friendly and welcoming.

Cute place, but just okay food. We ordered BBQ pork sandwiches, it was too wet and had been microwaved. Got the last bits of chips, small broken, useless bits.

Stepped in on a quiet night. Great service from the personable owner. Very scrumptious enchiladas entree. Hit the spot.

Most of the food was microwaved and very dry. $3.75 for 6 chips with microwaved cheese.

Delicious Mexican food!

As far as Mexican food goes nothing special here very bland chicken enchiladas. The salsa is puree tomatoes at best. The beer is old and flat. Service was good so they have that going for them. You also must understand I lived in San Diego for the last 25 years so I don't believe and have not found any place in Northwest Ohio with even mildly good Mexican food authentic or modern. Add some flavor and some spice rotate your beer stock with your good service and you would gain two stars.

Don’t think we will go back..Not the cleanest, place we’ve been to. Majority of food taste if it was made/rewarmed from microwave. Waitress was very nice, seemed as she had lots to do as she was only one there when we first arrived. Another lady did show up guessing owners wife. She was occupied by turning on TVs...I’m not a fan of leaving negative reviews although...Unfortunately, I don’t think it mattered if we were happy customers or not.. As we were only customers in the place. Shocked when we got our bill by the price...Chips and Salsa are not complimentary nor is substituting sauce on food..We understand rent is probably expensive, but I’d think for what we paid. Portion sizes and quality would be a bit better..

Food was good. Service wasn't so good. Waited fifteen minutes for a refill. Had to ask the bus girl for our sauce. Then the last took plates and said "Thanks for being patient" There wasn't much of a crowd. She was on the patio the whole time we were eating and never checked on us.

DELICIOUS authentic Mexican food! This is the restaurant that is the source of those wonderful homemade tamales everyone eats at the Apple Butter Festival each year, and ALL the food is that good! Mmm!!!
